Kaleo

Kaleo is the Youth Rally that the Scott Valley and Yreka youth pastors put on for the community.  The youth groups are invited and also the whole church/community is encouraged to go on Sunday Night.  Every night they had some drama, worship, a speaker, hamburger feed, and then the kids got to play on inflatable toys in the parking lot.  The toys are always a big hit!  As far as I know, none of our kids made any big decisions but they said that they enjoyed the conference all three nights.  Pray that our kids want to seek God and follow him.  I know that the Jr highers are very interested in some of our small group discussions (when they are not goofing off!) but they struggle a lot with home life and kids at school.  I don't ever remember jr high as being so brutal but many of my girls have horror stories of how the other kids mock them and all the "adult" themes that are commonly discussed between the kids.  Anyway, lots of prayer for the youth ministry here in Fort Jones is always appreciated!
