Wedding and Shower

This past weekend I partook in several fun festivities.  On Friday I had a baby shower with the Woodburn friends and family which was soooo fun!  I enjoyed getting to open all those super-cute baby gifts but more than that, it was nice to catch up with many people who I hardly get to see anymore!  I don't have any pictures yet but I will post some when I get them.  One of my favorite gifts is a crocheted baby blanket my Grandma made for Jeff and my future kids.  She made two blankets more than 10 years ago, one for each of us, because she knew that she probably would not be able to make them when we actually started to have kids.  It really meant a lot to me that Grandma would plan ahead like that, so the blanket is very special to me.  I am also thankful that Grandma and Grandpa will still be around when I have my first child.
The second festivity was my cousins wedding.  Chris and Amanda got married on Saturday June 18th in Seattle.  Brett and I drove to woodburn then drove up with the parents to Seattle for the wedding.  It was a long day but very enjoyable.  Most of the Hatch relatives were there and at the reception the food was excellent and there was a live jazz band.  It was also nice to spend some time with my parents and Jeff and Christina (and Tymon).

The first dance!  Quite impressive, especially the dip and kiss :)

The Hatch cousins, including the newest addition.  On the left there is Steve and Sarah, Christina and Jeff, Charlotte, Brett and I, and Chris and Amanda.

Brett and I dancing at the wedding.  I haven't done much dancing since I left college and would love to enroll in a dancing class with Brett but I guess that is going to have to be held off for a bit.
